Cheshire Clerk speaks at National ConferenceJonathan Williams, clerk to Middlewich Town Council, spoke at the Shaping Communities Conference held in London on Tuesday 13th February. Middlewich was recognised last year by being included in the Interim Lyons Report as one of the case studies into Place Shaping. ChALC's Regional Development Officer, Chalky White, also attended and introduced Jonathan, then summarised at the end of the presentation. This was in his capacity of Middlewich Town Councillor and Regional Development Officer for the Northwest of England for the National Association of Local Councils The Lyons Enquiry is due to publish their final report and recommendations in the spring of 2007, hence this was a timely conference, not only for Local Councils to hear from speakers within our tier of government, but also to understand the latest thinking from government on the progress of the "local Government and Public Involvement in Health Bill" or the Bill that came from last year's White Paper as we know it!
