Neston Town CouncilAlthough not created yet, the process to establish a Town Council for the people of Neston is well underway. A petition containing more than double the required number of local electors was presented to Ellesmere Port and Neston Borough Council on 31st January 2007. There has been a long campaign by local people to bring local democracy and accountability back to the people of Neston who have not had this level of representation since 1974. To give the electors of Neston and idea of what they can expect from their local council - if and when it arrives - the following are existing local councils that have been representing their communities for many years, in some cases as far back as 1894. If there is a website for the council, simply clicking on the name will take you to their site...
